INSPIRATION

My mom was an amazing seamstress. She made all my clothes when I was a little girl, and my Barbies' clothes and my dolls' clothes, my sister's too. As I grew up and got a job, I spent my money on clothes at the mall and mom became a quilter. As she was not one to throw ANYTHING away, many of the quilts began to resemble all the clothes she ever made. And these quilts have become so important to me as they bring up such wonderful memories. I'm not a seamstress, I just play one on TV... BUT I have been a professional photographer for over 35 years, so I have a gazillion pictures. So I "quilt" with images. The first book I did was for my son Dakota when he went to the Army. I used images of him throughout his life, and yes it was hard to pick my favorites to use because my kids have such a great and extensive collection. I added quotes and inspiring words to the pictures, laminated it and punched a whole in the top and strung them together. Then I started writing this little book of inspiration for my kids about 7 years ago. They are now all three grown men. I just kept adding to it, maybe it will never be finished. I feel like it should not be.... Continue to inspire goodness not matter what the age! We all need to be reminded. I know I do. DON'T EVER FORGET TO BE KIND!
